YowLevite’s career is filled with notable milestones that showcase his passion and talent as a music producer. He is a two-time Billboard-charting producer and the main composer behind Spice’s album ‘Mirror 25,’ which reached #2 on the iTunes all-genre chart. His collaborations with top-tier artists like Vybz Kartel, Beenie Man, Popcaan, and Patoranking highlight his distinctive sound, blending analog warmth with modern, energetic rhythms. These achievements cement YowLevite’s status as one of the most innovative producers to emerge from Jamaica.

THE JOURNEY

YowLevite’s love for music began during his childhood in Jamaica, where he would create rhythms using household items, inspired by the natural sounds around him. His early fascination with beats and melodies laid the foundation for what would later become a distinguished career in music production.

During his time at the University of the West Indies, YowLevite juggled his studies while pursuing his growing passion for music. It was here that he achieved his first major success with a placement on Tommy Lee Sparta’s track, "Pree Who." This achievement gave him the confidence to continue building his career, even as he initially pursued a corporate path.

After completing university, YowLevite worked as a brand manager, but his love for music remained ever-present. In 2020, he made a life-changing decision to leave his corporate role and focus entirely on music production. It was after this bold step that YowLevite joined the Frenz For Real team full-time, where his career as a producer truly took off.

At Frenz For Real, YowLevite had the opportunity to work with a wide array of veteran and emerging artists. He recorded dubplates with legendary icons such as the late Tabby Diamond of The Diamonds, Ken Boothe, Leroy Don Smart, The Jays, Wailing Soul, and Merciless. Additionally, he worked with top names like Beenie Man, Teejay, Jah Vinci, and Vershon. It was during this period that YowLevite refined his skills in recording and engineering, gaining invaluable experience in working with different vocalists and learning how to capture their unique sounds in the studio. This hands-on experience shaped him into the versatile and adaptive producer he is today.

With the foundation laid at Frenz For Real, YowLevite founded his own label, YowLevite Productions, and continued collaborating with some of the biggest names in dancehall and reggae, including Vybz Kartel, Popcaan, and Beenie Man and more. His signature style—combining analog warmth with modern rhythms—began to define his place in the industry, and his work quickly gained international recognition.

In 2023, YowLevite’s career reached new heights with his extensive collaborations with Spice and Vybz Kartel. His most notable achievement came when he served as the main composer for Spice’s 2024 album, ‘Mirror 25,’ which reached #2 on the iTunes all-genre chart.
